Demonstrate advocacy efforts to improve transparency in tuna fisheries, for example through:

• Signing on to an advocacy letter regarding improved transparency submitted by the NGO Tuna Forum, or by a member of the NGO Tuna Forum, to an RFMO or an RFMO member state.
• Sending direct advocacy letter(s) regarding improved transparency to RFMOs and/or RFMO member states.
• Organizing meetings or calls with RFMOs, or RFMO member states regarding improved transparency.
• Other advocacy efforts regarding improved transparency.

Means of Verification

Review/provide evidence that company (market actor) has advocated for improved transparency in fisheries. Evidence may include:

• Joint advocacy asks with the company’s logo or signature;
• Direct advocacy letters sent by the company;
• Meeting minutes noting the date, participants and the topics on the agenda;
• Other advocacy materials / efforts.
